On rationality
Would you say your thoughts are irrational? No, probably not. Your might feel your actions can be at times, but not your thinking right? In a way it would be irrational for someone to think so?
Rationality is not the same as wisdom, but rather consistency of thought and analysis, based on available knowledge and experience. So in a way all thought is rational. Missing information does not make you irrational. If you see someone argue irrationally, think instead what information it is they are missing, or what information you might be missing? Or that both of you are missing? Even more importantly, consider whether both of you are rationalising from the same base values. In a way rationality is like math, if you have different numbers, your results will most likely be different.
This is why lies are so dangerous; Because they poison logic and discourse, poison the substrate of sanity.
