Stupidity

When talking about free will, consider this; Commercials work, the placement of things in supermarkets work, humidifiers in the vegetable section, the colors and wording on packaging. Companies virtue signal, because it works! Are we really that stupid?

We act different when we are hungry. When we are too cold, too hot, or too horny. Being shy makes us agreeable or makes us stay silent when we should have spoken up. Where is the free will in that?

Note: Maybe it is not that we are inherently stupid, but that all those things (the deliberately humanly designed ones) are created to trick the autopilot in us. We are not so much stupid as we are automated...?

Maybe the stupidity of the world is really a biproduct of trying to conserve energy?
